Assortment of 12 darning needles. The darning needles have a sharp point and a large eye to accommodate wool threads. They are ideal for all types of darning work on medium to heavy fabrics such as velvet, wool, brocade, woven fabric, denim, linen, twill or crepe. Darning is the removal of a hole by interweaving threads, which will occupy the surface when the fabric is darned. These darning needles have a longer eye to allow the thicker darning thread to pass through more easily. They are ideal for darning wool and cotton. Made in France from nickel-plated steel, they go through 27 stages of manufacture, which guarantees a perfect point. The numbering corresponds to the size of each needle, N.3/0 being the longest and thickest and N.11 the shortest and thinnest of the series. Composition of the set:
