Organza Fabrics

Organza fabric is a sheer fabric like chiffon but is also stiff. Originally organza was made of cotton. By means of a chemical process called Orgendil in French (that is why in English we also know it as organdy), the fabric was given that rigidity and transparency. Nowadays organza fabrics can be of various compositions.

Organza fabrics are pleasant to the touch and colorful. It is an ideal fabric to achieve body in skirts and hair headdresses.
