Dark Green Needlecord

The Dark Green Cotton Needlecord Fabric is a fine needlecord made from 100% cotton, soft and very pleasant to the touch, perfect for making up comfortable garments with a delicate velvety finish. Its dark green colour, deep and elegant, lends a timeless style and is ideal for both children’s fashion and garments with a classic, natural or casual feel.

Its very fine rib knit creates a subtle and refined raised texture, retaining the characteristic corduroy texture whilst offering a lighter and more delicate appearance. With a weight of 145 gsm, this needlecord offers a lightweight structure, good opacity and a particularly pleasant feel, making it an excellent choice for children's clothing and mid-season garments.

It is made up from 100% cotton and has a width of 140 cm. Its combination of softness, lightness and texture allows you to create comfortable garments, whilst the fine rib knit adds body and a neat finish.

Suggested uses: children’s dresses, rompers, dungarees, trousers, skirts, blouses, shirts, lightweight jackets, baby clothes and sewing accessories.The dark green goes particularly well with shades of unbleached ecru, beige, camel, cognac, mustard, terracotta, navy blue or dusty pink. You can also combine this needlecord with printed cotton fabrics, floral patterns, checks, lace trims, trimmings, pom-pom trims or wooden buttons to create unique and personalised garments.

Sewing tip: as this is a 100% cotton fabric, we recommend washing the fabric before cutting and making it up to allow for the cotton’s natural shrinkage. When cutting, lay out all the pieces so that the pile and rib knit run in the same direction to avoid visual differences in shade in the finished garment.
