Green Striped Chester Campero

Chester Campero fabric is a classic, hard-wearing fabric widely used in the manufacture of regional costumes and traditional clothing. It is a striped jacquard with a vertical stripe design in sober green tones, evoking a natural and authentic style, adding depth and character to the garment.

With a composition of 70% viscose and 30% polyester, it offers a pleasant drape combined with high resistance to wear. Its width of 150 cm allows for excellent use of the fabric in clothing projects. It is a fabric with body, stable and slightly elastic, ideal for maintaining the structure of garments such as country vests, jackets, trousers and skirts.

Suggested uses: country-inspired waistcoats and jackets, traditional trousers, structured skirts and regional clothing details such as facings, yokes or decorative appliqués.

Sewing tips: respect the verticality of the pattern when cutting and square the stripes at visible seams, use a universal 80/12 or 90/14 needle with polyester thread, always iron inside out with a cloth to avoid shine and do a test run to adjust the stitch and tension (2.5–3 mm).

Care advice: gentle washing or dry cleaning is recommended for structured garments, avoiding high temperatures and always testing the iron on a scrap piece of fabric before applying steam.
