Petrol Green Velvet Dot

The petrol green velvet knit fabric is a soft, elastic knitted fabric with an elegant velvety surface in a plain petrol green colour and a plain finish on the reverse. Its deep shade, with attractive green and blue undertones, enhances the characteristic sheen of velvet and provides a sophisticated finish full of character.

Its composition of 92% polyester and 8% elastane provides stretch, comfort and freedom of movement. With a weight of 280 gsm, it has good body and offers a pleasant feeling of warmth, whilst maintaining a fluid and flattering fluid drape.

With a width of 150 cm, this petrol green velvet knit is ideal for making up dresses, skirts, jumpers, jackets, trousers, leggings and pyjamas. Its elegant colour is particularly appealing for autumn and winter garments, party outfits and designs for special occasions.

It is OEKO-TEX certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Product Class I, which guarantees that the fabric is free from harmful substances.

Suggested uses: drapey dresses, skirts, trousers, leggings, jumpers, sweatshirts, lightweight jackets, pyjamas and party wear.

Sewing tip: use a stretch needle or jersey needle 75/11–80/12 and a stretch stitch or narrow zigzag stitch. Avoid stretching the fabric whilst sewing and cut all sewing pattern pieces in the same direction as the velvet’s pile, as the direction of the pile can visually alter the intensity and sheen of the colour.
