Devoré Unbleached Floral on Chiffon

The ecru floral devoré fabric is a delicate and elegant fabric that combines a fine, semi-sheer chiffon base with large floral devoré motifs in a soft unbleached shade. Devoré is a textile technique whereby certain fibres are selectively removed from the fabric to create transparent areas combined with motifs of greater density and texture. This process results in its characteristic ornamental effect, allowing the floral design to stand out subtly against the chiffon.

Its composition consists of 80% viscose fabric and 20% nylon, and it stands out for its lightness, pleasant handle and beautiful drape. The unbleached colour adds luminosity and a natural, timeless aesthetic, making it a particularly versatile choice for elegant garments, romantically inspired looks and fashion accessories.

Sewing tip: due to the delicacy of its chiffon base, we recommend using a Microtex 60/8 or 70/10 needle and a fine stitch. For dresses and skirts, you can pair it with an unbleached or nude lining fabric to preserve its delicate look, or use a contrasting colour to highlight the floral pattern and the transparent sections of the devoré.
