Guide to Measuring Your Roller Blind

HOW TO MEASURE THE WIDTH OF MY BLIND

The width you need to indicate corresponds to the total width of the blind, including the side brackets.
Keep in mind that the fabric of the blind will be 5 cm narrower than the total measurement (that is, 2.5 cm less on each side).

IF YOUR WINDOW HAS SPACE ON BOTH SIDES

Measure the width of the window and add 10 cm on each side (10 cm to the right and 10 cm to the left).
This way, the blind will properly cover the window and prevent light from entering through the edges.

If your window has space on only one side

Measure the width of the window and add 10 cm on the free side.

If your window is between walls

Measure the distance between the two walls and subtract 1 cm (that is, 0.5 cm on each side) so that the blind fits easily.

If your windows are in a corner

First, determine whether each window is between walls or has space on one side.
Apply the corresponding calculation to each one and note both results.
For example:

Window 1 has space on one side.

 Window 2 is between walls.

If you have bay windows (corner windows)

Again, identify whether your windows have space on one side or are between walls.
Apply the previous calculations and note both measurements.
Then, decide which blind will go in front of the other and subtract 9 cm from that blind.
For example: if both windows have space on one side, the blind of window 2 would be the one in front, and you would subtract 9 cm from it.

HOW TO MEASURE THE HEIGHT OF MY BLIND

The indicated height corresponds to the total height of the fully extended blind and will depend on the type of installation chosen.

Before deciding, check if there are any elements that might obstruct the movement of the blind (such as shutter boxes, handles, or radiators).
In these cases, it is recommended to install the blind on the ceiling to allow separation from the window as needed.

Ceiling installation

Measure from the ceiling to the point where you want the bottom of the blind to reach.
If it is a window, add 10 cm below the bottom frame.

Wall installation

Measure the height of your window or door.
Add 15 to 20 cm above the top frame for optimal coverage,
and if it is a window, add 10 cm below the bottom frame.
