HOW MANY METERS OF FABRIC DO I NEED?
DETAILS
The beige floral devoré fabric on grey chiffon is an elegant, lightweight fabric that combines a fine, semi-sheer grey base with large floral motifs in a velvety beige texture. The contrast between the transparent areas and the embossed pattern creates a sophisticated interplay of textures and transparencies that lends movement and character to the fabric.
Devoré is a textile technique that allows patterns to be created by selectively removing some of the fibres from a fabric composed of different materials. The result is more transparent areas combined with denser, more textured motifs, achieving that characteristic ornamental and slightly three-dimensional effect.
The composition of this fabric is 80% viscose and 20% nylon. It stands out for its lightness, pleasant handle and beautiful drape. Its chiffon base provides fluidity and transparency, whilst the velvety floral motifs lend body and visual richness.
With a width of 135 cm, it is a particularly attractive choice for making up garments with movement and transparent panels, as well as fashion accessories with an elegant and original finish.
Suggested uses: blouses, kimonos, dresses, skirts with lining fabric, transparent sleeves, overshirts, shawls, scarves, stoles and fashion accessories.
Sewing tip: as this is a fine and delicate fabric, we recommend using a Microtex 60/8 or 70/10 needle and sewing with a fine stitch. For garments such as dresses or skirts, you can combine it with a lining fabric that further highlights the devoré pattern and its transparent effect.
