Devoré Floral Dentelle on Chiffon

The black floral devoré fabric is an elegant and sophisticated fabric that combines a fine, semi-sheer chiffon base with large black devoré floral motifs. The contrast between the transparency of the background and the velvety texture of the pattern creates an attractive interplay of raised textures, light and transparency, lending depth, movement and a particularly distinguished finish.

Devoré is a textile technique whereby certain fibres are selectively removed from the fabric to create transparent areas combined with motifs of greater density and texture. This process results in its characteristic ornamental effect, making the floral design stand out against the chiffon and take centre stage as the garment moves.

The composition of 80% viscose fabric and 20% nylon gives this fabric its lightness, pleasant handle and beautiful drape. The black colour enhances the effect of the transparent sections and lends an elegant, timeless aesthetic, ideal for both party wear and sophisticated designs.

Sewing tip: due to the delicacy of its chiffon base, we recommend using a Microtex 60/8 or 70/10 needle and a fine stitch. For dresses and skirts, you can pair it with a black lining fabric for an elegant, uniform finish, or use a contrasting colour to make the devoré floral pattern stand out more.
