Black Glitter Lamé Dot

The black glitter lamé knit fabric is a fine, lightweight and very eye-catching fabric, characterised by its spectacular shiny laminated finish on one side. The reverse side is plain black, creating a practical and versatile fabric that can be used without the need for a lining fabric in many projects.

Although it is knitted, the shiny laminated layer considerably limits its stretch, meaning that it barely stretches and does not behave like a conventional stretch knit fabric. The shiny side has a slightly textured texture, whilst the reverse side is plain and more pleasant to the touch.

Its intense black colour with a glitter effect reflects light and creates a striking and elegant finish, particularly suitable for garments and creations intended for carnival, fancy dress, shows, parties and decorations.

With a width of 148 cm, a weight of 160 gsm and a composition of 100% polyester, it is a lightweight fabric yet substantial enough to be used for all kinds of creative projects where shine takes centre stage.

Sewing tip: as the fabric has a laminated surface, we recommend avoiding repeated unpicking, as the needle holes may leave marks. Use a fine needle and carry out a test stitch on a remnant first. Always iron with care, at a low temperature and preferably on the reverse side, avoiding applying direct heat to the shiny finish.
