Black Flat Polyester Offcuts 280cm – Various lengths x 280 cm wide

100% black polyester plain fabric. Wrinkle-free synthetic fabric in a special 280 cm width, available in a wide range of colours and highly versatile. A durable, good drape, medium-weight fabric that is opaque and soft to the touch.

This fabric is pleasant to work with, has a smooth appearance, a subtle, barely noticeable weave and is easy to care for.

Known in our shops as Plana Stretch or Burlington. It is a basic fabric, very easy to sew and highly adaptable.

It is used in sewing for all kinds of garments, particularly work uniforms, due to its comfort and durability.

It gives slightly across the width of the fabric, adapting to the shape and movement of more form-fitting garments, but it is not a stretch fabric. This is due to the type of twisted yarn used in the fabric’s manufacture. If you stretch a thread, you will be able to see this twist; when you hold it between your hands and pull, the thread gives slightly, returning to its original shape without offering the same resistance as a single thread.

Due to its characteristics, it is also used to cover and decorate surfaces such as walls, tables and stands at trade fairs and events.
