Blue Holographic Lycra Mystique

The blue holographic Lycra Mystique fabric is a spectacular and highly eye-catching stretch fabric, characterised by its blue holographic shimmer on a laminated blue Lycra base. Its surface reflects light, creating different sparkles and shades depending on movement, achieving a shiny effect that is perfect for sportswear, stagewear and designs that aim to stand out.

With a composition of 80% nylon and 20% elastane and a width of 150 cm, it is an opaque Lycra fabric that is full-bodied, very drapey and has a soft handle. Its high elastane content provides excellent stretch and the ability to mould to the body.

This fabric offers two-way stretch, both widthways and lengthways, a feature that is particularly important for making up very tight-fitting garments that require freedom of movement. Its combination of stretch, opacity and holographic effect makes it an ideal choice for leotards and performance wear.

Suggested uses: gymnastics and dance leotards, swimsuits, bikinis, skating outfits, competition costumes, fancy dress, tight-fitting T-shirts, leggings, performance wear and elastic accessories.

Sewing tip: to sew this Lycra, we recommend using a needle specifically designed for stretch fabrics and a stretch stitch or narrow zigzag stitch. Avoid using pins unnecessarily on the laminated area and always carry out a test on a remnant of fabric first to check that the needle and the machine’s tension do not damage the holographic fabric finish.
