DETAILS
The Braemar Double-Faced Wool Tweed is a warm and sophisticated winter fabric, featuring an attractive chequered pattern on a midnight blue background enhanced by lines in shades of violet, blue and subtle green accents. A deep and elegant combination that adds colour without losing its understated elegance, perfect for outerwear with character.
With a width of 150 cm and a composition of 70% wool and 30% polyester, it combines the warmth and character of wool with the durability and stability provided by polyester, resulting in a fabric particularly well-suited to autumn and winter garments.
Its main feature is its double-faced fabric: one side has the characteristic look of wool tweed, whilst the other offers a pleasant short pile finish. Both sides retain the checks, allowing you to make the most of both surfaces and play with their different textures within a single garment.
The combination of midnight blue and violet is particularly attractive for making up coats, jackets, capes, waistcoats and overshirts. The short pile side can be used as a contrast on collars, lapels, cuffs, pockets and facing, adding texture and a particularly warm finish to the garment.
Ideas for use: coats, jackets, capes, waistcoats, overshirts, winter skirts, bags, hats, berets and other fashion accessories.
Sewing tip: before cutting, decide which side will be the main side and ensure all pieces are facing the same direction, especially when using the short pile side. As this is a checked fabric, it is advisable to allow for extra fabric to match the pattern correctly on the sides, sleeves, pockets and other visible areas.
