DETAILS
The Alpujarra-Style Lurex Stripe Brocade Fabric combines the essence of traditional textiles with an elegant touch of fantasy thanks to its metallic lurex threads, which add a sophisticated sheen and enhance every detail of the design. Its fine multicoloured stripes pattern, inspired by the characteristic fabrics of the Alpujarra region, offers an ethnic style full of personality, ideal for projects seeking tradition and distinction.
With an extra width of 280 cm, this jacquard fabric allows you to create large-scale pieces with fewer seams, making it perfect for both interior design and clothing. Its composition of 45% polyester, 27% cotton and 28% PA results in a hard-wearing, stable fabric with excellent body, whilst maintaining a pleasant feel and great durability.
Its lustrous finish and artisanal inspiration make it an ideal choice for creating regional costumes, traditional attire, folk dresses, the Three Kings’ procession, carnival, theatre and performances, as well as decorative projects such as cushions, drapery, stage sets, props and ethnically inspired interiors.
Suggested uses: regional costumes, period costumes, theatre costumes, carnival, parades, stage decoration, cushions, light upholstery, props and ethnic-style decorative projects.
Sewing tip: use a universal needle 90/14 or 100/16 depending on the thickness of the layers, high-quality polyester thread, and iron inside out at a medium temperature with a protective cloth to preserve the lustre of the lurex.
