Double Gauze Wild Flowers

The Double Gauze Wild Flowers is a 100% cotton fabric that is soft, lightweight and breathable, featuring a delicate print of small flowers, leaves and twigs on a light background. Its combination of shades of blue, terracotta, pink, beige and subtle hints of green creates a subtle and timeless floral design, perfect for both children's print and adult garments and accessories.

The double gauze, also known as double gauze, consists of two lightweight layers of chiffon bonded together. Its characteristic slightly crinkled texture gives it a natural, casual look, as well as a pleasant handle that makes it particularly comfortable for garments and accessories.

With a weight of 130 gsm and a width of 130 cm, it is a lightweight and versatile fabric, ideal for making up comfortable, cool garments with a lovely, relaxed drape. The small size of its floral motifs means the print can be used to great effect even on small pieces.

Its floral design pairs easily with plain double gauze in shades of unbleached ecru, blue, terracotta, dusty pink, beige and other natural colours, allowing you to create coordinated garments and accessories.

Suggested uses: baby and children’s clothing, dresses, blouses, rompers, playsuits, swaddles, muslin squares, lightweight blankets, scarves, accessories and creative sewing projects.

Sewing tip: we recommend washing the fabric before cutting to stabilise the cotton fabric and using a fine universal needle 70/10 or 80/12. Avoid stretching the fabric whilst sewing, and there is no need to completely remove the crinkled appearance with an iron, as this texture is part of the charm of double gauze.
