Pearl Grey Persian Scratch-Resistant Upholstery Velvet

The Persa pearl grey velvet upholstery fabric is a high-quality fabric, specially designed for upholstering furniture in homes with pets. Its elegant pearl grey shade, soft and luminous, together with its characteristic martelé finish, creates a surface with delicate nuances and a velvety texture that brings sophistication and warmth to any interior.

Its main feature is its anti-scratch technology for cats, designed to prevent claws from catching and fraying the fabric, making it an excellent choice for sofas, armchairs and everyday furniture. It also has a stain-resistant property that makes routine cleaning easy using a damp cloth or mild soap and water.

The Persa collection stands out for its extraordinary abrasion-resistance, exceeding 100,000 cycles, class A, according to the AITEX technical test, making it particularly suitable for upholstery subject to heavy use. It also offers excellent durability against pilling, with a rating of 5 out of 5, and high colour fastness to light, with a rating of 7–8.

With a width of 140 cm and a weight of 294 gsm, this upholstery velvet combines durability, softness and an attractive decorative finish. Its pile is made from 100% polyyamide, with a cotton and polyester backing.

Suggested uses: upholstery for sofas, armchairs, chairs, headboards, upholstered benches, cushions and other home décor projects. Its pearl grey shade is ideal for modern, Nordic and contemporary interiors, particularly in homes with cats and other pets.

Upholstery tip: follow the direction of the pile when cutting and making up to maintain a uniform finish. Use a suitable upholstery needle and avoid excessive tension in the seams. For small stains, clean gently with a damp cloth and mild soap, without rubbing vigorously.

Care: easy-to-clean fabric, suitable for machine washing up to 40 °C according to the manufacturer’s technical specifications. For routine care, we recommend cleaning with a damp cloth and avoiding abrasive products. Do not iron directly onto the velvet surface to preserve its crushed velvet finish.
