Fine Maroon Polyester Satin

Maroon is an intense and timeless colour, particularly elegant for guest dresses and designs intended for celebrations and special occasions.Its silky feel and fluid nature mean the fabric moves naturally with the body. It is particularly well-suited to designs featuring draping, gathered elements, bias cuts and flowing silhouettes, where the drape and characteristic sheen of the satin take centre stage.

Sewing tip: as this is a fine, fluid satin, we recommend using a Microtex needle or a fine needle and fine pins to avoid marks. To make cutting easier, lay the fabric flat without stretching it and use sewing weights to prevent it from shifting. For garments cut on the bias, it is advisable to leave them to rest before applying a hem so that the fabric settles into its natural drape.
