Flat Blue Polyester Remnant 280 cm – Various lengths x 280 cm width

The blue polyester flat fabric is a basic, durable and highly versatile fabric, made up from 100% polyester. Its special width of 280 cm allows large areas to be covered whilst making excellent use of the fabric, making it a popular choice for both clothing manufacture and interior decoration and event staging.

It is a medium-weight, opaque fabric that is soft to the touch and has a lovely drape. It has a plain surface with a very fine, barely perceptible mesh fabric; it does not crease easily and is notable for being easy to care for, making it a practical fabric for continuous use.

Also known as Plana Stretch or Burlington, this fabric stretches slightly across the width due to the twist in the yarns used in its manufacture. Although it offers a degree of adaptability to movement and the fit of garments, it is not a stretch fabric.

It is ideal for making up work uniforms, fancy dress costumes, garments, event decorations, backdrops, table linen, curtains, exhibition stands and wall or surface coverings, offering an excellent balance between durability, performance and price.

Sewing tip: use a universal needle 80/12 or 90/14 and polyester thread. Use a cool iron and carry out a test first to avoid shine on the fabric.
