Gold and Burgundy Jacquard Damask Brocade

The Golden Damask Jacquard Brocade is a fabric of great presence and quality, crafted with an elegant, classically inspired ornamental design featuring golden motifs with Lurex on a satin-finish background. The combination of metallic sheen and satin effect creates a fabric rich in nuances, particularly suited to garments and decorative projects seeking a distinguished and traditional finish.

Woven in jacquard, the pattern forms part of the fabric’s very structure and is not merely a surface print. Furthermore, it is a reversible fabric, allowing both sides of the fabric to be used and offering greater creative possibilities depending on the effect and contrast you wish to achieve.

Its composition of 38% polyester, 34% Lurex and 28% viscose combines durability, sheen and a refined textile appearance. The Lurex enhances the gold details, whilst the satin-finish provides luminosity and elegance to the overall look.

Sewing tip: we recommend using a fine universal needle 80/12 or 90/14 depending on the number of layers, and testing it first on a remnant of fabric. For garments and pieces with large patterns, plan the cut length before you start to centre the design and ensure its continuity. Avoid excessive temperatures when ironing to protect the Lurex fibres and the satin-finish.
