Grey Glitter Lamé Knit

The grey glitter lamé knitted fabric is a fine, lightweight and very eye-catching fabric, characterised by its shiny laminated finish on one side. The reverse side is plain grey, offering a softer and more discreet finish on the inside.

Although it is knitted, the shiny laminated layer considerably reduces its stretch, meaning that it barely stretches and does not behave like a conventional stretch knit fabric. The shiny surface has a slightly textured feel, typical of this type of laminated finish.

Its grey colour with a glitter effect reflects light and creates an attractive metallic effect, perfect for designs that aim to stand out. It is a fabric particularly suitable for carnival, fancy dress, shows, parties and decoration.

With a width of 148 cm, a weight (gsm) of 160 and a composition of 100% polyester, it is a lightweight and easy-to-work-with fabric with just the right amount of sheen to take centre stage in any creation.

Sewing tip: as this is a laminated fabric, we recommend avoiding repeated unpicking, as the holes may leave marks. Use a fine needle and test on a remnant piece first. Avoid applying heat directly to the shiny side and, if you need to iron, do so very carefully on the reverse side at a low temperature.
