HOW MANY METERS OF FABRIC DO I NEED?
DETAILS
The ecru-coloured Heavy Scuba fabric, also known as neoprene knit, is a thick knitted fabric that has great body and a structured drape that is reminiscent of neoprene, although it is not technical neoprene. Its opaque finish, exceptionally soft feel and lightweight stretch allow garments to be made with volume, clean lines and an elegant finish.
Composed of 92% polyester and 8% spandex, it offers an excellent combination of durability, comfort and flexibility. With a weight of 300 g/m² and a width of 160 cm, it provides stability and superb recovery, maintaining the shape of garments even with continuous wear.
The plain ecru colour stands out for its natural and sophisticated look, making it a highly versatile choice for minimalist-style garments, casual wear, mid-season collections and timelessly inspired designs.
Suggested uses: dresses, jackets, skirts, trousers, sweatshirts, outfits, lightweight blazers, structured tops and voluminous fashion pieces.
Sewing tip: use a ball-point needle 75/11 or 80/12, sew with a stretch stitch or overlock stitch, and iron at a low temperature, always using a protective cloth to preserve the fabric’s appearance and softness.
