The monk’s cloth in natural ecru is a medium-weight, sturdy fabric with body—ideal for both functional and decorative projects. Composed of 64% cotton and 36% polyester, it offers an excellent balance of breathability, durability, and easy care. With a weight of 246 g/m², it's perfect for historical costume making, religious garments, traditional attire, table linen, curtains, or light upholstery. Also popular in craftwork and rustic-style décor. Sewing tip: use a universal needle size 80/12 or 90/14, and finish with overlock or zigzag stitching to prevent fraying, as this fabric tends to unravel when cut.
