Double Gauze Reversible Bambula – Checks and Stripes in Mustard Blue

The reversible double gauze bámbula fabric with checks and stripes in blue and mustard is a 100% cotton fabric that is soft, lightweight and breathable, ideal for making up comfortable, natural garments. Its original double-faced fabric combines a checked pattern in shades of powder blue, mustard and white on one side, with a delicate striped pattern in the same colours on the other, offering two different styles in a single fabric.

Its characteristic slightly crinkled texture, typical of double gauze muslin, provides a pleasant handle and a casual look, with a soft, natural drape. Thanks to its double-layer cotton fabric structure, it offers a pleasant sense of comfort without feeling heavy, making it an excellent choice for mid-season and summer garments.

With a width of 135 cm and a weight of 125 gsm, this double gauze cotton fabric combines lightness, softness and versatility. Its reversible design allows you to make use of both sides of the fabric to create original contrasts on cuffs, collars, pockets and other garment details.

Sewing tip: use a fine universal needle 70/10 or 80/12 and avoid stretching the fabric whilst making it up. It is recommended to wash the fabric beforehand to minimise any shrinkage of the cotton. To make the most of its reversible finish, combine both sides in decorative details and avoid excessive ironing, which will remove its characteristic crinkled texture.

Fabric care: a delicate wash at 30 °C is recommended; avoid bleach and high temperatures. Air dry where possible and use a cool iron only if necessary, to preserve the natural look of the bamboo fabric.
