Red Glitter Lamé Dot

The red glitter lamé knit fabric is a fine, lightweight and very eye-catching fabric, with a striking shiny laminated finish on one side. Its intense red colour reflects the light and creates a spectacular effect, perfect for garments and projects where you’re looking for a festive, glittery finish.

Although it is knitted, the laminated glitter layer significantly reduces its elasticity, meaning that it offers very little stretch and does not behave like a conventional stretch knit fabric. The shiny side has a slightly textured texture, whilst the reverse is plain and softer, allowing it to be used without a lining fabric in many projects.

The red colour with a glitter effect is particularly appealing for carnival, fancy dress, shows, parties and decorations. Under spotlights and stage lighting, its laminated surface enhances the sparkle and creates a striking visual impact.

Ideas for use: carnival costumes, costumes for shows and dance, party outfits, lightweight jackets, capes, accessories, event décor, shop window displays, props and DIY projects.Sewing tip: as this is a laminated fabric, we recommend avoiding repeated unpicking, as the holes may leave marks. Use a fine needle and test on a remnant first. Avoid applying heat directly to the shiny side and, if you need to iron, do so very carefully on the reverse side with a cool iron at a low temperature.
