White Plain Stretch Gabardine Remnant – Various lengths x 148 cm wide

The plain white stretch gabardine is a high-quality flat fabric with a slightly lightweight texture and a fluid drape, making it ideal for garments that offer full-bodiedness, movement and comfort.

Its composition of 97% polyester and 3% elastane provides a slight stretch, making it easy to make up fitted garments or those offering greater freedom of movement, such as skirts, trousers, dresses and flamenco dresses.

This gabardine has a slightly more satin-finish surface, where the classic diagonal weaves characteristic of gabardine are very faintly visible, giving it an elegant and understated finish.

In white, it is a versatile and luminous base fabric that pairs easily with various flamenco fashion prints, plain fabrics or contrasting accessories.

Suggested uses: skirts, trousers, dresses, flamenco outfits, dancewear, lightweight jackets and fashion garments.

Sewing tip: use a universal or stretch needle 80/12 or 90/14 and neaten the seams to prevent fraying. Iron at a low to medium temperature, preferably on reverse or with a woollen cloth to protect the satin-finish.
