The Schmetz Overlock ELx705 SUK CF Jersey needles have been specially developed for domestic overlock and coverlock machines that use the ELx705, ELx705 CF, ELx705 CR or SY 2022 needle systems. They are available in sizes 80/12 and 90/14, suitable for different types of knit fabrics and stretch materials.
These needles feature a medium ball point (SUK), designed to separate the fibres of the fabric without damaging them, allowing for smooth sewing on knit fabrics and stretch fabrics without causing skipped stitches or damaging the material.
Their most notable feature is the second thread groove, specially designed to facilitate the formation of chain, overlock and coverlock stitches, reducing the required thread tension and improving the quality of the seam.
Furthermore, they feature a CF (Chrome Finish) coating, a chrome finish that provides greater resistance to wear and excellent durability during intensive use.
They are ideal for sewing jersey, stretch knit, sweatshirts, French terry, fabrics containing elastane, cotton knit, fleece, lingerie, sportswear, scuba, Romanit, stretch velvet and other knitted fabrics.
Important: these needles are specifically designed for machines compatible with the ELx705 system and must not be substituted with conventional universal domestic needles.
Sewing tip: for best results on stretch fabrics, replace the needle regularly and use size 80/12 for fine fabrics and 90/14 for thicker or denser knits.
