Needlecord Unbleached Cotton

The Unbleached Cotton Needlecord is a fine needlecord made from 100% cotton, soft and pleasant to the touch, perfect for making up comfortable garments with the characteristic velvety finish of corduroy but with a much more delicate and lightweight texture.

Its very fine rib knit creates a subtle and elegant raised texture, adding texture without feeling heavy. With a weight of 145 gsm, this needlecord has a lightweight structure, good opacity and a particularly pleasant handle, characteristics that make it an excellent fabric for children’s clothing and for mid-season garments.

It is made up of 100% cotton and has a width of 140 cm. Its unbleached shade is natural, bright and very versatile, perfect for classic-style garments as well as romantic, rustic or contemporary designs.

Suggested uses: children’s dresses, rompers, dungarees, trousers, skirts, blouses, shirts, lightweight jackets, baby clothes and sewing accessories.The unbleached colour is particularly easy to pair with printed cotton fabrics, checks, florals or fabrics in earthy and pastel shades. You can also personalise your garments with lace trims, trimmings, pom-pom trims, embroidered details or wooden buttons to achieve unique finishes.

Sewing tip: as this is a 100% cotton fabric, we recommend washing the fabric before cutting and making up to allow for the cotton’s natural shrinkage. When cutting the pieces, always follow the same direction of the nap and rib knit to achieve a uniform finish throughout the garment.
