Dark Brown Washed Effect Stretch Corduroy

The Dark Brown Washed-Effect Stretch Corduroy is a full-bodied, soft and durable corduroy, perfect for making up comfortable and versatile garments with a contemporary style. Its dark brown colour, deep and timeless, combines with the washed effect to create a slightly distressed finish that enhances the fabric’s texture and lends an attractive casual, vintage feel.

This corduroy stands out for its characteristic ribbed texture and soft, velvety surface, which adds depth and dimension to the fabric. Its weight of 282 gsm gives it a medium-to-heavy weight, ideal for garments that require some structure without being overly stiff.

Its composition of 98% cotton and 2% elastane combines the pleasant feel of cotton with slight stretch across the fabric width, providing greater comfort and freedom of movement. It has a fabric width of 140 cm and is an excellent choice for both adult and children's clothing.

The dark brown with a washed effect is very easy to pair with shades of unbleached ecru, sand, beige, camel, cognac, olive green, terracotta, mustard or blue. A perfect shade for creating wardrobe staples with a casual, urban, natural or vintage feel.

Sewing tip: we recommend washing the fabric before cutting to allow for the cotton’s natural shrinkage. As this is a corduroy with a pile and rib knit, lay all sewing pattern pieces in the same direction to maintain a uniform look and shade. Iron preferably on the reverse side and without applying too much pressure to avoid flattening the corduroy’s raised texture.
