Cordelé Corduroy with Washed Effect

The Cordelé Corduroy Fabric with Washed Effect in Caldera is a warm, vibrant and characterful fashion fabric, ideal for creating garments that aim to stand out with a contemporary yet slightly retro style. Its caldera shade, which is intense and cosy, adds impact to the design and pairs particularly well with autumnal, boho and urban-inspired looks.

It features a fine rib knit of approximately 2 mm, formed by closely spaced vertical lines that add texture and the characteristic look of cordelé corduroy. Its surface is soft, slightly velvety and with a subtle sheen, whilst the washed effect gives it a casual, slightly worn and very contemporary finish.

Its composition of 85% polyester, 12% polyamide and 3% elastane provides a pleasant handle, good drape and slight crosswise stretch, offering comfort and freedom of movement. Furthermore, it has a width of 150 cm, perfect for making the most of the fabric in sewing projects.

The boiler colour pairs particularly well with shades of unbleached ecru, beige, camel, brown, olive green, navy blue or denim. A fantastic choice for creating statement pieces and adding a warm, characterful touch to your wardrobe.

Sewing tip: cut all pieces following the same direction of the pile and rib knit to maintain a uniform look and tone throughout the garment. You can use a universal needle or stretch needle of 80/12 or 90/14 and should preferably iron it on reverse, without applying too much pressure so as not to flatten the corduroy’s raised texture.
