Corduroy with Washed Effect in Ochre

The Cordelé Corduroy Fabric with Ochre Washed Effect is a warm, versatile and characterful fashion fabric, perfect for making up contemporary garments with a casual and slightly retro feel. Its ochre colour, inspired by earthy tones, is highly versatile and adds warmth and style to any design.

It features a fine rib knit of approximately 2 mm, with closely spaced vertical lines that add texture and the characteristic look of cordelé corduroy. Its surface is soft, slightly velvety and with a subtle sheen, whilst the washed effect gives it a slightly worn and modern finish.

Its composition of 85% polyester, 12% polyamide and 3% elastane provides a pleasant handle, good drape and lightweight crosswise stretch, promoting comfort and freedom of movement. Furthermore, it has a width of 150 cm, ideal for making the most of the fabric in garment-making projects.

The ochre shade pairs particularly well with unbleached, beige, browns, greens, terracotta and denim, making it an excellent choice for creating statement pieces and outfits with a natural, urban or vintage feel.

Suggested uses: trousers, jackets, overshirts, skirts, dresses, dungarees, jumpsuits, waistcoats and fashion accessories.

Sewing tip: as this is a corduroy with a nap and rib knit texture, cut all pieces following the same direction to maintain a uniform colour across the garment. You can use a universal or stretch needle of 80/12 or 90/14 and it is best to iron on the reverse side, without applying too much pressure to avoid flattening the raised texture.
