Stretch Viscose Fabric, Watercolour Blue Floral Print

The Blue Watercolour Print Floral Stretch Viscose Fabric is a soft, printed fabric with a lovely drape, ideal for making up comfortable, feminine garments with a flowing silhouette. Its design features a watercolour-effect floral print, with flowers and delicate branches in different shades of blue – ranging from light, powdery blues to intense nautical prints – set against a light background that brings luminosity to the overall look.

The design is created using digital printing, achieving attractive colour combinations, visual transparencies and blurred outlines reminiscent of watercolour brushstrokes. The result is an elegant and artistic floral print, perfect for garments where the movement of the fabric helps to enhance the design.

Its composition of 97% viscose fabric and 3% elastane provides a soft, pleasant handle, a lovely drape and lightweight stretch to create particularly comfortable garments. It has a weight (gsm) of 180 and a width of 130 cm, offering slightly more body than lightweight viscose fabrics without losing any of its fluidity.

Suggested uses: dresses, skirts, blouses, tops, flowing trousers, jumpsuits, tunics and garments with draping, gathers or cuts that make the most of the fabric’s drape and stretch.

Its combination of navy blue, denim blue and light blues makes it easy to coordinate with plain fabrics in white, unbleached ecru, navy blue, denim blue, grey or neutral tones. A highly versatile printed viscose fabric for creating statement pieces with an elegant, cool and contemporary style.

Sewing tip: we recommend washing the fabric before cutting, as viscose may experience some shrinkage. To make sewing easier, use a fine needle for stretch fabrics and avoid stretching the fabric whilst sewing to preserve its natural drape and shape.
