Scuba knit, faux suede velour, unbleached

The unbleached faux suede-effect velour scuba knit fabric combines the structure and stability of scuba knit fabric with an elegant velvety faux suede finish on one side, offering a soft texture and a sophisticated look reminiscent of suede. Its unbleached colour – bright, natural and very easy to coordinate – adds elegance and versatility to all kinds of fashion garments.

Made from 100% polyester, this fabric stands out for its strength, durability and ease of care. It has lightweight stretch, greater across the width than the length, providing comfort without losing structure – an ideal feature for garments that need to retain a beautiful shape and a neat finish.

With a width of 145 cm and a weight of 280 gsm, it offers good body for making up structured garments, whilst maintaining a pleasant flexibility and a lovely drape.

The unbleached shade is a timeless basic that pairs particularly well with camel, brown, beige, black, military print and other natural tones. Combined with the faux suede finish, it allows you to create garments with an elegant and contemporary look, particularly appealing for autumn and winter collections.

Sewing tip: use a knit or stretch needle 75/11 or 80/12 and high-quality polyester thread. When cutting, position all pieces so that the pile runs in the same direction, as the velour finish may show visual variations in shade depending on the direction. Always iron on reverse or with a woollen cloth at a low temperature to preserve its velvety surface.
