Unbleached Tulle with Mother-of-Pearl Shimmer and Petal Sequin Fabric

The unbleached tulle fabric ‘Destellos Nácar’ is an elegant and very special decorative fabric, adorned with an abundance of petal-shaped sequins with a pearlescent effect. Their oval, gently rounded shape creates a beautiful effect of overlapping scales or petals, adding volume, movement and a subtle luminosity to the fabric.

Set against the delicate unbleached tulle base, the sequin fabric combines shades of white and ivory with soft pearlescent highlights that shift slightly depending on the angle of the light. The result is a sophisticated and ethereal fabric, ideal for fashion projects seeking texture and shine without resorting to an overly intense finish.

Its composition is 100% polyester. The sequin fabric-embellished section has an approximate width of 130 cm, whilst the full tulle base has an approximate width of 160 cm. We recommend taking the usable width of the sequin fabric-embellished section into account when calculating the required length.

Sewing tip: as this is a fabric with appliqués, we recommend planning the sewing pattern before cutting and carefully removing any sequins that coincide with the seam lines. Once the garment has been made up, some sequins can be reattached by hand to conceal the seams. For fashion garments, pair it with a plain lining fabric in unbleached ecru, nude or a pastel shade to play with the tulle’s sheerness and enhance its pearlescent effect.
