White bi-elastic lycra velvet fabric.
Soft, silky and velvety polyester fabric that stretches in both directions. It contains 8% spandex, which makes it elastic in both the warp and weft, so the fabric stretches both widthwise and lengthwise. Please note that it stretches more widthwise.
This makes it particularly suitable for making leotards, leggings and sportswear that require a perfect fit. Polyester is a strong, high-quality fibre that gives the velvet a unique sheen.
This fabric is extremely comfortable, with a good drape and a pleasant feel. It is suitable for clothing, party wear, costumes, decoration and other fancy items.
Our sewing tip: Does your velvet fabric move around a lot when you sew it?
Velvet does not like to lie flat, it moves, it slips... We recommend always basting the pieces together before sewing. Remember that all the patterns on your garment must follow the same direction of the pile that characterises this fabric to avoid colour changes.
